FAQ & Pricing

Q: How much will a Renegade Props 3D Print cost me?

We wish we could give you specific price ranges here, but we have to assess the amount of PLA needed for your print, how many hours it will take to render the file, print it, sand it, prime it, and paint it. This can take weeks to months, and every project is different, with a different set of skill and product requirements! We provide custom quotes for every single person via email correspondence renegadecosplayprops@gmail.com.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

We ship to the United States, Canada, & United Kingdom. We offer tracking for all shipping, and you can expect your Renegade Props 3D Prints to arrive within 5-7 business days for United States deliveries, and 7-10 business days for international deliveries. Rush Shipping is an option and will be quoted upon request.

Q: Are these durable?

Durable enough to wear for photoshoots and wear all day at Cons, sure! These props can last you years if you take good care of them. When handled with care and stored properly, you shouldn’t have any issues. **If you’re excessively rough with these props, although most of the time they’ve been reinforced via Bondo, Primer, & Paint, at the end of the day…they’re still PLA. They aren’t metal. They aren’t meant to be used as actual armor or weapons or whatever else they may LOOK like!

Q: What is PLA?

PLA, Polylactic Acid, is the plastic filament your print is made out of! It is heated to temperatures of 215° and higher and then cooled while on the print bed to form the prints we transform into props!

Q: Okay, so they’ll last as long as I take care of them and store them properly…how do I do that?

Glad you asked! We covered how Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a plastic filament. Emphasis on the word plastic here! So, like all other plastics, you’re going to want to keep these props out of extreme heat! You’re safe to wear and use these props outside in hotter temps, but can run into issues if these props are left somewhere hot to incubate with no airflow. Do not leave these props in your car on a 90°+ day. The temperature in your car can rise to approximately 130°-150° in a matter of hours, making it hot enough to begin warping the PLA. When not in use, we recommend storing these props out on display in the comfortable ambient temperatures of your home, or in a box somewhere cool and safe! Do not stack other items on top of it as to prevent any physical damage to the prop.

Q: Is PLA Sustainable?

PLA is a much more sustainable choice compared to that of other 3D Print Filaments. However, it is still a plastic filament, so if you do decide to discard your prop/prints after some time, be sure to recycle them!

Q: I ordered a Raw 3D Print to finish myself, and I’m feeling confused on that process! Help!

Deep breaths, my sweet little cupcake, we will get through this together. We have a detailed blog post tutorial that takes you through the Raw 3D Print finishing process, step by step! We also have a detailed Youtube video for all of our visual learners out there. Both can be viewed here.
